Joy Behar had a lot of reasons to celebrate on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The television personality was all smiles as she took her bow on opening night of the world premiere production of the hilarious play, My First Ex-Husband, at the MMAC Theater, Off-Broadway in New York City.

Supporting Behar at the opening was a slew of her past and present co-hosts from The View, including Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin, Sherri Shepherd, Ana Navarro, Star Jones and Sara Haines. All posed with Behar on the red carpet.

Joy Behar’s My First Ex-Husband celebrated its off-Broadway opening night at the MMAC Theater on February 6. Directed by Randal Myler, the 85-minute comedy started performances on January 29.

Rotating casts filled with boldface names are the lure for this collection of comic relationship stories written by Joy Behar, who performs them alongside Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh and Adrienne C. Moore through Feb. 23. Judy Gold, Susan Lucci, Tonya Pinkins and Cathy Moriarty take over from Feb. 26 to March 23, followed by Veanne Cox, Jackie Hoffman and Andrea Navedo, March 26 through April 20. Written by Behar over the span of 12 years, the new show features a rotating cast of actresses playing women who tell stories about the people they used to be married to. While fictional, the play is based on interviews Behar conducted with women in her life. It opens off-Broadway on Thursday, and The View co-host says it's great to finally be producing something she spent so much time writing.

“My First Ex-Husband” is an electrifying evening of comedic brilliance that showcases the incredible talents of Joy Behar, Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh, and Adrienne C. Moore. Running from January 29 to February 23, 2025, at the newly renovated MMAC Theater, this world premiere brings together eight poignant and uproarious monologues that span the complexities of love, loss, and laughter. Each woman takes the stage to share her heartfelt anecdotes about love gone wrong, pulling audiences into their pasts while simultaneously leaving them in stitches.
